A talk on C.S. Lewis with cocktails and refreshments to follow:
“C.S. Lewis - A Feast Transferred: Sacramental Imagination and the Romance of Orthodoxy”
“Many people have found in Lewis a fellow traveler in their spiritual journey, whether they are in a place of atheism/doubt or evangelical conversion. Those of course are well known parts of Lewis’ life, but his journey did not end in conversion from atheism to believer. Lewis’ journey continued into surprising places where even those from Greece, Russia and Turkey could see in him a friend on the Way.
For those of us at the Church of the Advent, C.S. Lewis is not just an interesting theologian or apologist but a central figure in our spiritual journey as individuals and as a parish. His death on November 22nd is remembered this upcoming February 16th in our new space. Join us for a celebration of his life and look at his journey of faith with a 40 minute talk by Dale Brown. Cocktails and refreshments to follow.”
